Turkish Patent & Trademark Attorney Selcuk Akkas

Mr. Akkas began his career in 1994 with Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama, Turkey’s largest pharmaceutical company, where he developed substantial expertise in business law and intellectual property rights. Since establishing his own firm, he has represented hundreds of domestic and international clients in matters involving intellectual property, business, and commercial law.

Pioneer in Trademark Law

Mr. Akkas is recognized as one of Turkey’s first specialized trademark attorneys. He has filed hundreds of trademark applications, defended clients against objections, navigated official procedures with the Turkish Patent Institute, and represented clients in trademark cancellation proceedings, unfair competition disputes, and intellectual property rights violations.

Trademark and Patent Attorney

In 1996, Mr. Akkas passed the examination administered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT), earning registration number 30 and becoming one of Turkey’s pioneering trademark attorneys. In recognition of his 20 years of professional service, he was honored by the PEM Patent & Trademark Attorneys Association on October 22, 2016.

In 2013, Mr. Akkas further expanded his credentials by passing the patent attorney examination and registering with TÜRKPATENT under registration number 1324. He continues to practice as both a trademark and patent attorney under the authority of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
